Passing Strange will be held at The Black Box, 4 S. Poplar Street on the Wilmington waterfront. The production runs December 13 through 21, directed by Jeff Hunsicker and music directed by Joe Trainor.
Passing Strange is a Tony®- and Drama Desk Award-winning rock musical about a young black musician's artistic journey of self-discovery, from his humble church-centered upbringing in California to the anything-goes goth and neo-punk scenes of major European cities. The cast is entirely comprised of actors of color, a first for CTC. Passing Strange lyrics and book are by Stew with music and orchestrations by Stew and Heidi Rodewald. It was created in collaboration with Annie Dorsen.
Tickets $25; $20 for military personnel with ID & students (age 16 & over) with ID; $15 for youth (to age 15).
